Glue traps can not be used  and heavy penalties apply for illegal sale and use.

In New South Wales:

Under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Regulation 2025 - Part 6 - Miscellaneous - Section 42, using glue traps for rodent control is now prohibited.

A glue trap must not be set unless it is designed to prevent the capture of an animal or is enclosed in a cage or protective covering.
